If you own a small business and are looking for help with marketing a new product or developing a social media plan, Bridgewater College seniors are ready to assist.
Four organizations located in Augusta or Rockingham County will be selected to partner with 25 students enrolled in an entrepreneurship course during the spring semester. Students can help local organizations with marketing plans, consumer research, feasibility studies for new products or services, and logo and publication development, among other projects. Last year students helped a food truck rebuild their website, developed a social media plan for a bookstore and helped a nonprofit design marketing pieces for an upcoming event.
“In the past 15 years, we’ve helped more than 60 businesses and nonprofits in the community, and our students look forward to working with a new batch in the spring of 2026,” said Dr. Maria V. Lugo, associate professor of business administration and a faculty adviser for the project.
Local organizations interested in applying to participate in Bridgewater’s Entrepreneurial Experience-Service Learning Project should contact Lugo by email at mlugo@bridgewater.edu or by telephone at 540-828-5418. Proposed projects should be entrepreneurially oriented, designed to fit the students’ capabilities, able to be completed over a three-month period and have enough substance to merit course credit. The deadline for project applications is Friday, Dec. 5, 2025.
